The United States Library of Congress has selected The Youth Cafés' website for inclusion in the Kenyan Presidential Election 2022 Web Archive, which is part of a larger collection of historically and culturally significant websites that have been designated for preservation. The Library hopes that The Youth Café shares the Library's vision of preserving digital content and making it available to current and future generations of researchers. The Library of Congress believes that expanding access to the Library's collections is one of the best ways to increase opportunities for education and scholarship worldwide.

The Youth Café was invited for a 3-day Collaborative Futures Workshop, which is a hybrid hackathon and fellowship designed to help you, and fellow social justice organizations and leaders envision ways that emerging creative technology can expand your impact, understand how new technologies will shape your work and how we can change these technologies, and learn how to act on this knowledge in partnership with East Africa's boldest creatives and technologists using a Do It Yourself (DIY) ethos and active collaboration.

A chance to us to reflect on the meaning of Democracy in its deepest sense, along with its intrinsic link with the full exercise of rights in our cities and the strategic tasks that both communities and local governments must push through in order to ensure that living and coexistence in the city will be more human, democratic, sustainable, equitable, fair and solidary.
