The Youth Café was invited for a 3-day Collaborative Futures Workshop, which is a hybrid hackathon and fellowship designed to help you, and fellow social justice organizations and leaders envision ways that emerging creative technology can expand your impact, understand how new technologies will shape your work and how we can change these technologies, and learn how to act on this knowledge in partnership with East Africa's boldest creatives and technologists using a Do It Yourself (DIY) ethos and active collaboration.
The Youth Café Is The Newest Member Of Democracy Research & Development.
On the 19th of January 2022, The Youth Café got admission as the newest and only member in East and Central Africa to Democracy R&D. Democracy R&D is an international network of organizations, associations, and individuals helping decision-makers take hard decisions and build public trust. The Youth Café had been interviewed on the 10th of January and on behalf of the coordination group, David Schecter, proposed The Youth Café as a new organizational member of Democracy R&D, where the proposal was met with no objections.

The Black Communities Respond to Covid-19 Webinar Series hosted by Global Black Youth in partnership with The Youth Cafe, The Portulans Institute as well as Internet Without Borders, Open Think Tank Network, Pan-African Council, Global Business School Network, Webroots Democracy, Civic Tech Innovation Network, African Diaspora Youth Forum in Europe, University of Pretoria, and the ACP Young Professionals Network will bring together bright minds in Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
