The Youth Café, as a formidable member of the peace and security community, with a thematic area in peace and security, and actively engaging youth in the maintenance and promotion of local and international peace and security through the prevention of violent extremism, in collaboration with United Nations System Staff College, is pleased to invite you to learn more about the YPS primer. The Youth, Peace, and Security Primer, also known as the YPS Primer, is a FREE online learning tool that provides hands-on guidance and resources on promoting meaningful youth participation in peace and security efforts and is available in 5 languages: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Portuguese.

The Youth Café Is The Newest Member Of Democracy Research & Development.

On the 19th of January 2022, The Youth Café got admission as the newest and only member in East and Central Africa to Democracy R&D. Democracy R&D is an international network of organizations, associations, and individuals helping decision-makers take hard decisions and build public trust. The Youth Café had been interviewed on the 10th of January and on behalf of the coordination group, David Schecter, proposed The Youth Café as a new organizational member of Democracy R&D, where the proposal was met with no objections.

Virtual Youth Dialogue With Ms. Inger Andersen, Executive Director Of UN Environment Program | The Youth Cafe

Utilizing the mobilisation inspired by the 50th Earth Day, The Youth Cafe and its partners are convening a Virtual Youth Dialogue with UNEP ED Inger Andersen with intention of providing young people the opportunity to hear from Ms. Andersen and most importantly share their concerns, challenges and also suggestions on how UN Environment can further support youth movements and respond to their needs in these times. Overall, this youth dialogue will also serve as a learning opportunity for youth groups across the world, and comes at a time where motivation is much needed.
