This participants’ manual will assist participants in following the sessions related to the African Governance Architecture (AGA) capacity-building training of trainers’ program for youth participation in political and electoral processes. The participant manual also provides information on methodologies and strategies to be adopted during training sessions. The youth needs to note that training content for youth participation must be context-specific. The content of this manual must be adjusted to the local, social, geographical, cultural, and political circumstances, and there is no standard training methodology and approach that can be replicated everywhere on the continent.

The dire state informs the campaign of debt management, which has been marred by opacity in decision making, mismanagement of debt expenditures, and flagrant violations of public finance requirements, which have contributed to the present economic crisis and a debt trap. The campaign is grounded in our constitutional responsibility to respect, uphold and defend the Constitution of Kenya.

The WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award is a non-profit organization financed by the City of Gothenburg, Region Västra Götaland and several member organizations and companies. It is the world’s largest sustainability award that aims to recognize and support outstanding contributions from around the world. The goal of the award is to stimulate creativity and achieve lasting synergies as it strives to strike the right balance between ecological, environmental, and social needs. The prize has been presented in Gothenburg since 2000. The WIN WIN Youth Award is an international award that aims to empower and reward young people who play an active role in the creation of a more sustainable future.

This publication is the second of two to explore the findings and insights from an online global consultation, held in July 2020, exploring young Africans’ use of digital technologies in different areas in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. Our intended outcome is to build a practical theory to underpin our ambitious youth-led community transformation efforts. This Theory of Change is based on organizational performance improvement as an approach to build the capacity of The Youth Café which focuses on achieving our strategies. We recognize that high performing youth-led and youth-serving organizations like we desire to be, need to be exceptional in four domains identified by our Performance Improvement framework: Efficiency, Effectiveness, Relevancy, and Journey to Self-Reliance (J2SR).
