Global Open Call 2022 is a crowdsourcing open call for Youth Voices on Health Innovation. This open call strongly focuses on supporting social innovation in health research; therefore, ideas with evidence on pilot or early-stage implementation are preferred. Are you a youth (18 to 35) interested in youth-led social innovation in health initiatives worldwide? We search for youth-led health innovations to receive seed research funding, mentorship and support, networking opportunities, and international recognition.

The key partners in the event include; The Aga Khan University, University of the Fraser Valley, Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems, UN-Habitat -Youth Café-Urban Economic Forum, and other private sector and community partners who focus on the informal youth housing challenge and its impact on young people.
Go Youth! Global Open Call on Youth Voices | Calling On Youth-Led Ideas And Innovations!
The open call has global prizes. Selected finalists will receive seed funding (quantum subject to the needs of each project) to pilot their innovations in their communities, as well as research mentorship to help monitor and evaluate their projects, write research manuscripts, and disseminate their findings to a wider audience. Finalists will also be given the opportunity to have their projects recognized at international conferences and ceremonies.

International Youth Day takes place annually on the 12th of August. This year’s theme is focused on “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”. Though, the success of this effort on a global scale can only be achieved through the participation of youth. There are always discussions about the need for inclusive support mechanisms that will help ensure that youth will keep amplifying the need to collectively protect life on earth. Through initiatives like this, The Youth Café is at the forefront of guiding youth to become more involved with creating a society that advocates for food sustainability, and human as well as planetary health.

Our Plans For International Youth Day 2020 | Youth Engagement For Global Action
Youth engagement for global action is the main theme for International Youth Day 2020. The theme seeks to dissect how youths are engaged in various aspects locally, nationally and globally. The need to boost youth representation in multilateral and political institutes will also be looked upon. To provide a starting point for youth in Africa, The Youth Café has planned a series of activities prior to the date of celebration and has lined up creative launches on International Youth Day
