The Youth Cafe joined hands with other civil society organizations and community representatives in this year’s World Immunization Week. The Youth Cafe took the initiative to amplify the campaign within its networks and its vast global membership reach. The Youth Cafe also joined the conversation in the World Immunization Week Twitter Live with Dr. Katherine O’Brien, Director of Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals at the World Health Organization (WHO).
The open call has global prizes. Selected finalists will receive seed funding (quantum subject to the needs of each project) to pilot their innovations in their communities, as well as research mentorship to help monitor and evaluate their projects, write research manuscripts, and disseminate their findings to a wider audience. Finalists will also be given the opportunity to have their projects recognized at international conferences and ceremonies.
During these uncertain times of the COVID-19, Information pauses to be a vital factor on the possibilities of conquering the global pandemic. Nonetheless, the fate of the pandemic does not solely lie on access to information in the world, but whether we can understand the information in the languages we speak, read and write.
