The Youth Assembly Plenary, held at the Parliament of Kenya, brought together 60 young representatives from all 47 counties. During the session, participants engaged in meaningful discussions and proposed practical policy recommendations aimed at addressing key national challenges, including youth innovation, climate action, education, and poverty eradication.
The Youth Café Partners With Nexford University
The Youth Cafe signed The Partnership Agreement and the Learn-to-Earn Coalition Agreement with Nexford University, which will positively impact many youths' lives. The Youth Cafe will receive partnership benefits, including an exclusive scholarship to The Youth Café community and shared revenue with The Youth Café for every member of its community who enrolls at Nexford through marketing initiatives and earns up to $300 in shared revenue.
Africa True Story, Enabling Chinese And African Content Creators To Obtain Income Growth And Digital Opportunities
The Africa True Stories program is a digital brand project implemented by The Youth Café in collaboration with Pumbaa Eco. We invite leaders in different industries, young people, and Chinese people living in Africa to share stories about their lives in Africa. In doing so, the information gap and bias is reduced and enables Chinese and African content creators to obtain income growth and digital opportunities.
Enterprise for Peace Scholarship - 2022
The Youth Café is partnering with One Young World to promote the Enterprise for Peace Scholarship for 2022 for delegates to participate in the global Summit around creating youth employment opportunities for prosperous and peaceful societies. The One Young World Summit 2022 will see 2,000 young leaders from 190+ countries descend to Tokyo for the global forum for young leaders. During the Summit, delegates will present and debate solutions to our time’s most pressing issues alongside senior leaders.
Reflecting On Youth, Peace And Security At The ICGLR Regional Multifunctional Youth Forum
The meeting assessed the implementation of the ICGLR Heads of State and Government Declaration on Youth Unemployment and the Pact on Security, Stability and development. Further, it looked at ways of developing the ICGLR Regional Action Plan on UNSC Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security as adopted by the ICGLR Heads of State and Government during their 8th Ordinary Summit held on 20th November 2020. The meeting also received presentations on the UNSCR 1325 process for peer learning. This came on the heels of a developments in the region, including elections in the Republic of Burundi, Tanzania and Central Africa Republic.
The Youth Cafe Shares Its Innovative Communication Strategies With Six Municipalities | The Youth Cafe
Between 3rd and 5th of March 2020, the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) and The Youth Café met to share innovative communication strategies and dissemination approaches at the Municipal Partnership Programme Dissemination conference. The conference was held at the Gelian Hotel in Machakos, Kenya, and was attended by five municipal partnerships between Sweden, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
