This EU Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy 2020-2024 is the third Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy adopted by the EU. As with the previous two Action Plans, the objective is to enhance and hone EU efforts to promote human rights and democracy worldwide.
The participants of the second High-Level Meeting of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation are committed to practical development cooperation to achieve the universal and inter-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We met in Nairobi, Kenya, on 28 November-1 December 2016 to reaffirm the spirit of partnership in which they recognized the unity of purpose, interdependence and respective responsibilities.
