Q. Can an Organisation outside Africa Apply and receive a grant under the Africa Youth Foundation?

No: The African Youth Foundation applicants have to be African-based organizations. We do not fund Organizations outside Africa.

Q. Can an individual request for a grant?

We do not accept funding requests from individuals, and we also do not fund projects proposed by or for the benefit of individuals.

Q. Can a group be a government agency?

Your group cannot be a government agency, an election campaign, or an international organization proposing projects with local partners.

Q. Is it cost-effective to support Youth in grassroots movements?

Yes. Grants to grassroots movements on youth empowerment are allowed as they are able to reach more youth and give them a voice to be heard.

Q. What types of organizations are eligible to apply for grants from the youth empowerment fund?

Priority is given to youth empowerment organizations.

Q. Is there a geographical limitation or a specific age range or definition of youth that the fund targets?

Yes. The fund targets youths aged 16 to 35 years exclusively in Africa. The fund is limited to youth empowerment organizations within the African continent.
