The European Union Delegation in Kenya is in the process of elaborating the next phase of the EU-Kenya Partnership which will span over a period of 7 years in the context of the new EU multi-annual financial framework. This ‘programming process’ foresees inclusive consultations with all relevant stakeholders including the Government of Kenya, County Governments, the Parliament, civil society organizations including women and youth, the private sector, and the donor community in Kenya.

The Youth Cafe will be taking part in the consultation sessions between the European Union and civil society. We will be focusing on two of our eight priorities: Governance and Political inclusion and Peace and Security, including preventing violent extremism.

Purpose of the consultations:

The purpose of these consultations is to inform you about the EU programming process and future priorities for the EU-Kenya Partnership and facilitate your respective contributions to allow you to play a meaningful role in this process. We also hope to broaden our understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing civil society in that context.

Subject-matter of the consultations:

The objective of these consultations is to inform the identification of specific and programmable priorities, through a discussion on the proposed priority areas and sectors.  The attached questionnaire (Annex I ) will guide this consultation.  It is shared in advance to allow you to prepare for our discussions.
