Program Highlights

Reporting: Data on outcomes of TYC’s  youth programming (youth-focused, youth-relevant, and youth-led) continues to be primarily gathered through the Operational Plan (OP), Performance Plan and Report (PPR), Portfolio Reviews, Development Information Solution (DIS) and other reporting processes and systems. These reports help The Youth Cafe  report on its youth programs, investments, and outcomes to its Board of Directors and external stakeholders.

Monitoring: The Youth Cafe’s  Monitoring Toolkit provides guidance and resources on monitoring at The Youth Cafe. Youth activities  monitor activity implementation, adaptations, costs, and outputs. Monitoring data reveals how programming targets and affects different groups, highlighting youth as a discrete group and, as relevant for program management and learning, disaggregating by age bands. Progress towards desired outcomes, development objectives, and intermediate results should include youth indicators and age-disaggregated data, as described in The Youth Cafe’s Strategies.

1. All relevant indicators are age-disaggregated. The preference is to use the age bands described in the Policy (10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34)

2. All The Youth Cafe people-level standard and custom performance indicators are sex-disaggregated and age-disaggregated. The following indicators are examples:
