Performance Audit Report On Implementation Of The Support For Job Creation Component Under Kenya Employment And Opportunities Project

According to the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census Report by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, 38.9% of the 13 million youths in Kenya were unemployed with the numbers protected to rise. Unemployment continues to pose a serious challenge with over eight hundred thousand (800,000) youth entering the workforce every year. The large number of new entrants to the workforce is currently outpacing the capacity of the economy to absorb them in productive employment.
