Youth Excel Africa Persona Creation
The Youth Cafe is planning a design activity that aims to gather input from key local stakeholders to inform the program design of Youth Excel – a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project, implemented by IREX, The Youth Cafe, and consortium partners. The project aims to empower young people and youth organizations to drive local development by using implementation research—a type of research that focuses on collecting data during a program to improve the program in real-time—to strengthen local, national, and global development solutions.

This human-centered design activity will inform the design of the program at the very start by gathering input from key stakeholders about the need, motivations, challenges, and opportunities of your local community to ensure that the program is responsive to local needs and realities. This event will be the first event for the program which aims to engage key local stakeholders as collaborators and partners in Youth Excel.
If you are a stakeholder in youth development, this will be a great opportunity for you to engage in an activity to help you also better understand different audiences engaged in youth development. We are happy to share with you the outputs of this design exercise which we hope will be useful for you in the work that you do. To help you prepare for the event, please take a minute to read the Kenya Cross-Sectoral Youth Assessment Report by the USAID, an interesting new new report on youth personas.
Kindly let us know if you will be available for this design exercise? It shall be taking place on 19th November 2020 from 2 PM to 4 Pm via Zoom.
Kindly RSVP here by 17th November 2020 to get the invitation links.
