The youth Cafe is delighted to invite you to join us to participate in the second edition of the #LearningPlanet Festival, taking place online, and for free, on January 24th and 25th 2021, on the occasion of the International Day of Education. Initiated by CRI and UNESCO, the Festival is co-designed and co-organised with the #LearningPlanet open community, bringing together organisations and networks from around the world. 

The theme for this year is ‘Learning to take care of oneself, others, and the planet’.The goal of the #LearningPlanet Festival is to invite exemplary learning communities and youth movements across the world, as well as educators and committed individuals, to share and celebrate their most significant learnings and achievements. Its grassroots, online programme that will offer a range of sessions adapted to all ages: inspiring video talks, LIVE conferences, and debates, educational and creative workshops, scientific and artistic activities, digital experiments, films, and documentaries, etc.

We would like to invite you to contribute to track 3: “THE MEGAPHONE: AMPLIFYING THE VOICE OF YOUTH!” taking place online on the 24th of January 2021. You may do so by:

  1. Adding your own workshop or conference


    Youth organizations and movements are invited to create their own events in this community track for the celebration of the International Day of Education. They can propose any activities of their choice or experiment with a new format from the list of the Festival toolkits.

    NB: Deadline for submissions: January 15th, 2021

  2. Showcase your initiative

    You may also showcase your work through a 4-5 minute pre-recorded video talk to tell your story (see suggested guidelines here) during different sessions on Sunday.

  3. Participate in live conferences and artistic activities

  • A series of live conferences on subjects around youth agency and youth engagement (exact programme to be shared by mid-January)

  • A Special conference at 15h-17h CET on Sunday 24th January (TBC), under the aegis of UNESCO and possibly other leading international organizations, celebrating the projects involving youth participants from all the partner organizations.
