Event Overview: This onsite exchange, part of the Global Democracy Coalition (GDC) campaign, titled "The Voice and Value of Democracy,“ will gather a diverse range of stakeholders to explore and promote democratic values and climate change governance. The event aims to deepen the understanding of democracy's significance in modern society, enhance civic participation, and examine the role of digital technology in democracy and climate change Governance.

GLOBAL DIPLOMATIC DIALOGUE EXHIBITOR'S REGISTRATION FORM

The Global Diplomatic Dialogue is a premier platform that brings together thought leaders, policymakers, organizations, and innovators from around the world to engage in meaningful discussions on global diplomacy and international cooperation. This exhibitor’s registration form is your gateway to showcasing your work, products, and services to a diverse, international audience. By registering as an exhibitor, you will have the unique opportunity to network with influential stakeholders, share insights on your organization’s impact, and strengthen your global presence. Exhibitors are encouraged to use this space to connect with like-minded participants, explore potential collaborations, and promote innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable global development. The provisions for exhibition include: a tent, a table, 2 chairs and food for 2 exhibitors.  

The dialogue is a capacity development tool that will strengthen deeper understanding of themes such as democratic governance, climate change governance and international negotiation capacities. It is a way of addressing deficits in capacities of negotiators among the youth on important global processes such as democracy and climate change governance. It helps to promote the culture of negotiation and analytical skills necessary for post-graduate students pursuing studies in IR and diplomacy.

It is against this background that this event is jointly organized with The Youth Café to afford post- graduate students (and other stakeholders) the opportunity to strengthen their capacity to exercise negotiation and cooperation agency and develop skills required to respond to the challenges facing the world today, including, democratic governance and climate change justice.

The Purpose and Objectives of the Dialogue

The purpose of the Dialogue is to strengthen youth capacity in negotiation and cooperation agency in addressing critical issues facing the world today democratic governance, climate change governance and digital technology. The Dialogue is fully funded through the generosity of The Youth Café.

The Dialogue is designed to address the following Specific Objectives:

1. Create platform for networking between students (youth) and practitioners and by so doing, avail opportunities for collaborative research in various fields.

2. Strengthening capacities for negotiation, civic engagement and participation in democratic processes and climate change governance.

3. Reflect on the role of digital technologies in promoting transparency and engagement while addressing associated risks.

4. Empower youth and other stakeholders in resolving contemporary governance challenges in diverse fields including climate change governance.

Approach and Methodology

The Dialogue will be largely participatory - allowing views from diverse participants. It will be facilitated by experts and activists drawn from across fields, including, democracy, climate change governance and technology applications. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and simulations, participants will engage in meaningful dialogues and develop strategies to strengthen democratic institutions and address current governance challenges and climate change governance.

The event will be streamed live to allow virtual participation from a global audience, with special emphasis on engaging young leaders, digital innovators, and civil society groups. The discussions will contribute to the larger Global Democracy Coalition campaign, with the outcomes shared widely through social media, digital reports, and a post-event summary.

The Dialogue will be one day event. Expected Results

1. Community of practitioners in democratic governance and climate change justice.

2. Actionable strategies to enhance citizen engagement and participation, particularly for underrepresented groups.

3. Practical insights into the integration of digital technology in democratic processes and climate change governance.

4. Responsive and engaged youth and other stakeholders in resolving contemporary governance challenges.

Target Audience: At least 50 Civic leaders, academics, post-graduate students, activists, government officials, NGOs, students, media representatives Stakeholders: Local governments, advocacy organizations, independent researchers, media, educational institutions.
