76th World Health Assembly and Strategic Roundtable on Immunization | WHO at 75: Saving lives, driving health for all

The WHA is the main decision-making body of WHO and is comprised of 194 Member States. Every year, delegates from all Member States come together to agree on the Organization’s priorities and policies.  At the Health Assembly, country delegates make decisions on health goals and strategies that will guide their public health work and the work of the WHO Secretariat to move the world towards better health and well-being for all.

The Strategic Roundtables will be held from 22 to 27 May 2023, from 13:00 to 14:15 CEST. The events will bring together delegates, experts from WHO, partner agencies and civil society to discuss current priorities and next solutions on vital issues for global public health.

In particular, the Strategic Roundtable on Friday, 26 May 2023 will focus on immunization and is entitled, A safer and healthier tomorrow through restoring essential immunization today.  

The Roundtable will discuss best practices in engaging communities in immunization programmes and how to strengthen health systems from the bottom up. We will hear from healthcare workers, ministers and representatives of government, multi-lateral organizations, and civil society about what each stakeholder needs to do to reach all children and adolescents in support of #HealthForAll.
