Following the nominations of to the National Diversity and Inclusion Awards 2020 in the award category: I5: Diversity and Inclusion Youth in Leadership Award, we are pleased to inform you that you have been ranked/shortlisted among our DIAR 2020 finalists and top 7 award recipients in this category.
As a result, you are invited to receive recognition and an award on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Tsavo Ballroom, KICC, Nairobi in a Black-Tie Event that will take place from 1800 hours to 2300 hours.
The National Diversity and Inclusion Awards & Recognition (DIAR) celebrates companies, government agencies, county governments, NGOs and individuals who champion diversity, promote inclusion and equality in Kenya. The awards are based on public nominations, internal and external research, public voting in some categories, submissions, shortlisting and decision by the panel of the venerable jury.
During the voting process, you garnered 616 out of a total 27587 votes for 16 individuals in this category. Average votes for each nominee was 1724.19. The votes account for 25% of the entire process. The other 75% is qualitatively decided by the jury based on your impact, vision and theory of change. Among the top 7 award recipients, the jury will be deciding on the Winner, 1st and 2nd Runners-up and Finalists (position 4-7 certificate recipients) who will be unveiled at the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
DIAR 2020 Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony will bring together over 600 pax drawn from across sectors - government, corporate, NGOs, academia, CBOs. Based on DIAR 2018 and 2019 experiences, 60% of the event participants will be at the level of Board Members/Directors, Commissioners, Founders, CEOs and senior management. It is the most diverse and inclusive corporate event in Kenya. Among others, we have confirmed participation of high profile guests including the Cabinet Secretary - Ministry of Public Service and Gender, Prof. Margaret Kobia.
