Margaret Wanjiku is a young Kenyan lady passionate about youth empowerment and policies affecting youths and the African continent and its untapped potential. She has studied for a Bachelor of Science in Procurement and Contract Management and obtained a 1st Class Honors, a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development, and a Distinction, among other short courses. Her passion for youth empowerment and policy interaction was born in 2019 under World Youth Alliance as a regional intern for Africa.
She is a proud 2022 Africa Matters Initiative AMAP Ambassador, Kalinka Ambassador representing Kenya on diplomacy, the 2020 World Literacy Foundation Ambassador in helping eradicate illiteracy in Colombia and the world at large, and national deputy coordinator under Lionheart Ability Leadership International Foundation advocating for issues affecting people with disability, GBV, gender equality, quality education among other topics, and was a former 2020 Content Researcher and part of the fundraising team under Africa Matters Initiative, and Country Executive under Community Pointers.
Initiative dealing with community projects that help bring transformation and long-term solutions to the communities in Kenya, she is currently the Business Development and Programs Manager at The Youth Cafe; with all these youth-based platforms, she is proud to help achieve most of the 17 SDGs. Her guide is Pay it Forward, having helped her nurture the art of giving to all and sundry, and she seeks to teach this culture to fellow youths as we all strive to make the world a better place filled with humanity through our purpose in life.
When not at The Youth Cafe, Margaret loves nature-based activities, singing and dancing, reading motivational books, networking, and working in her church’s Sunday Teens sales project as she co-leads in the Teens’ Ministry and adventurous trips, among others.
