Dr Ismael Oduor

Dr Ismael Okoth Oduor is an esteemed Advisory Board Member of The Youth Cafe. He has over 9 years of teaching experience at the University and over 30 years of experience in the industry. Dr Oduor has mentored 7 postgraduate students and published 11 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. He holds a PhD and Master's in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi. He is a specialist in the planning, designing, and implementing of development projects, with over 30 years of hands-on practical experience in training and capacity building of project teams and beneficiaries.

Dr Oduor's passion for youth development through mentorship programs led him to serve on The Youth Cafe Advisory Board. He offers leadership in this area and has helped initiate and implement successful youth programs and projects.

Dr Oduor's involvement on The Youth Cafe Advisory Board brings immense benefits to the organization. With his many years of experience in project planning and management, he provides leadership in identifying, initiating, and implementing successful youth programs and projects. He also offers expertise in the preparation of grant-winning proposals and policy development.

Dr Oduor has vast knowledge and understanding in formulating plans, strategies, and policies, project proposal writing, and resource mobilization. He is a social science researcher specializing in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Environmental Audit, Monitoring and Evaluation and Baseline Studies, Training, and Skills Needs Assessment. Dr Oduor is a participatory methodology expert and a mentor of project staff through backstopping and appraisals. He is also an external examiner for the University of Kigali, Rwanda, and a resource person for the Kenya National Qualifications Authority.

Dr Oduor has served as the Chairman of the Cathedral Development Committee and is a member of the Kenya Association of Project Managers (KAPM) and the Kenya Society of Agricultural Professionals. He is passionate about youth development and wishes to offer leadership through mentorship programs. Dr Oduor also undertakes consultancy services in Strategic Management, Project Planning, Environmental Impact Assessment, Needs Assessment, and Baseline studies.
